Diazepam
Depressantsการได้รับยาเกินขนาดร้ายแรง พบได้เมื่อ benzodiazepines ถูกใช้ร่วมกับ ฝิ่น (opiates), barbiturates, gabapentinoids, แอลกอฮอล์ (alcohol) หรือ GABAergic substances อื่นๆ
Diazepam (หรือที่รู้จักในชื่อ Valium) เป็นยากดประสาท (depressant substance) ในกลุ่ม benzodiazepine class ออกฤทธิ์โดยเพิ่มการยับยั้งสารสื่อประสาท ที่ชื่อว่า GABA (increase the effects of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA)
